David Chew completes ISCA Academy training course on Navigating Financial Restructuring and Corporate Turnaround
David Chew completed a training course conducted by ISCA Academy titled “Navigating Financial Restructuring and Corporate Turnaround” on 30 March 2026. This foundation-to-intermediate level programme is the first structured course in Singapore designed to offer a practical introduction to financial restructuring and corporate turnaround in the Singapore market.
Participants gained a comprehensive understanding of the financial, operational and legal aspects of restructuring and turnaround situations.
The key learning objectives of the programme included:
Understanding the roles, approaches, and key stakeholders involved in out-of-court financial restructuring and corporate turnaround
Identifying early warning signs of financial distress, including the underlying causes and observable symptoms
Evaluating restructuring options through detailed analysis of debt structures and cash flow dynamics
Applying formal insolvency procedures, including schemes of arrangement, as well as considering contingency options; and
Appreciating the ethical considerations and professional responsibilities in restructuring and insolvency engagements
