David Chew completes ISCA Academy training course on Navigating Financial Restructuring and Corporate Turnaround

David Chew completed a training course conducted by ISCA Academy titled “Navigating Financial Restructuring and Corporate Turnaround” on 30 March 2026. This foundation-to-intermediate level programme is the first structured course in Singapore designed to offer a practical introduction to financial restructuring and corporate turnaround in the Singapore market.

Participants gained a comprehensive understanding of the financial, operational and legal aspects of restructuring and turnaround situations.

The key learning objectives of the programme included:

  • Understanding the roles, approaches, and key stakeholders involved in out-of-court financial restructuring and corporate turnaround

  • Identifying early warning signs of financial distress, including the underlying causes and observable symptoms

  • Evaluating restructuring options through detailed analysis of debt structures and cash flow dynamics

  • Applying formal insolvency procedures, including schemes of arrangement, as well as considering contingency options; and

  • Appreciating the ethical considerations and professional responsibilities in restructuring and insolvency engagements
